Job Description:
The mission of the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) is to advance hospitality thought leadership by publishing and disseminating impactful and actionable research, including reports, briefs, tools, and case studies that industry leaders can put into practice today; facilitating the exchange of new ideas by bringing students, faculty, and industry professionals together at roundtables, panels, conferences, and other engaging events; and partnering with the other Centers and Institutes in the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration to maximize research, event, and networking collaborations.

The Research Assistant's primary responsibilities will include, working under the direction of the program manager to:
- help build a publication pipeline, by searching for and identifying impactful, hospitality-relevant research being done by Cornell faculty and researchers around the world.
- help build and maintain a digital network of scholars, by searching for, identifying, and adding hospitality researchers to the network.
- other research-related tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
A successful Research Assistant (RA) will:
- be a graduate-level student studying hospitality or related discipline (e.g., business) at Cornell.
- be interested in and knowledgeable about the latest hospitality research trends and topics, as well as the challenges facing the hospitality industry.
- know how to use resources like the Cornell library, Google Scholar, and Research Gate to search through academic journals to find papers and authors.
- be an experienced user of spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets).
- be detail-oriented.
- be a contributing member to the project team and be thoughtful in their approach to the work (i.e., if there's a better way to do something, please speak up).
- be able to work independently.

Work Schedule:
- This job can be done remotely and the hours are flexible.
- The RA will be expected to meet with the program manager virtually once per week.
