Job Description:
The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research is currently seeking a part-time undergraduate student to assist with day-to-day marketing and business administrative tasks. This position will work directly with the marketing and administrative team and will play an important role in marketing, sales, and general administrative duties. The employment period begins Winter 2021 (start date to be set upon hiring) and lasts through the Spring semester with an option to continue through the Summer or, if desired, until the student graduates.

Duties include:
• Support the marketing and business administration team with a variety of tasks
• Conduct web research, list building, co-develop outbound communication campaigns
• Support the planning and operation of events, including event promotions and logistics
• Support conference-related participation efforts, shipments for conferences and handle related scheduling
• Prepare promotional materials and presentations, such as PowerPoint presentations, posters, flyers, and other physical and digital content.
• Support the administrative assistant organization and inventory of office/exhibit booth supplies
• Search the archive for relevant support data and co-develop content packages
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Swift and accurate writing capabilities
• Proofreading and editing capabilities
• Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced field
• Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills and independent problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to ask questions and seek direction when necessary
• Intermediate computer skills, including especially, Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with automated email communication programs such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
• Experience with social media monitoring and sentiment analysis
Work Schedule:
Flexible with office hours between 9 AM - Noon and 1 PM - 5 PM.
